back to school again

Fall 2041 - 2041/2042 school update.

Providence Elementary School

Samantha's class is very small this year, so she can give her students extra attention.

"Andrew, it's your turn to pick out today's story. What would you like to hear?"

Most of the kids get along pretty well. But quiet little Piper thinks Katie is a bit too rambunctious.

"What are you doing?"

Sometimes during recess, instead of the playing outside with the other kids she reads in the library with Alex.

Dylan tries to talk to the Stanton twins, but they're too busy gossiping with each other.

At least he has Jamie to play with.

This year Michael is in a different class than his little brother Andrew. He misses his brother, but it's helped him make friends with other kids. Charlie lives across the street, and the two have become good friends during the long bus ride to school.

Michael and Andrew still get to see each other at lunch and recess.

Rachel Cooper has decided that she's too grown up to run around the playground with the little kids. She'd much rather read or talk about school. Next year she'll be in high school, and she can't wait.

Providence High School

Caroline Wilder's class is on the small side this year; there aren't any tenth graders, plus Alison Cameron is being homeschooled this semester since she just had a baby.

Toby and Georgia spend a lot of time talking about Alison. She's been so overwhelmed with the baby, neither of them have talked to her in a while. But George Smith isn't very interested in all of this drama. He'd rather get back to the math lesson.

Adrien Cooke is very excited to be in high school!

He loves getting to use the equipment in the science lab. Mr. Ottomas has Libby Stanton show him how to use some of the equipment.

Of course just because Libby and Adrien are getting to be friends doesn't mean she won't pick on him from time to time.

The school recently got some machine shop equipment, and Laura Wilder has been learning how to build robots.

Laura likes school, but she isn't too thrilled with some of the older students. Christopher Long often pushes the younger kids around.

But Christopher is still basically a good guy. He's become friends with Tom Smith, and they play basketball together a lot.

Or maybe Christopher is just trying to keep an eye on Tom. Margaret and Tom are getting pretty close. And now that he's thirteen, he's getting better at flirting with girls.

"Will you pose for me? I want to paint your portrait."
