living life

August 2034 - Andrew Carter and Kate Myers are 32, Harper is 9, Avery is 2.

Andrew and Kate move into their first house this summer. They don't have enough furniture for such a large place, so it's still pretty empty. But it's still wonderful to have a real house and a yard instead of a cramped city apartment.

They set up a beautiful, large office in the attic.

Andrew buys a broken down car from the junkyard, and he works on it on his days off. He's been reading tinkering magazines for years, but he's never attempted such an ambitious project.

Harper loves having a larger room to play in. Her bedroom in the apartment was barely big enough for her bed and desk, but now she has room for her books and her building blocks.

Avery has her own room for the first time. She's a very outgoing little girl, and she's always trying to play with her big sister.

Since Kate and Andrew are full doctors now, they have a lot more time to spend with their daughters than they did when Harper was a toddler.

Harper's favorite part of the house is the big backyard. She loves being able to play outside. She makes friends with a stray cat, and she starts pestering her parents to let her adopt it.

Instead of having their telescope crammed onto the small apartment balcony, they set it up in the backyard, and they look through it almost every night. It's a big change, trading their urban apartment for a house on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood. Kate never thought of herself as a suburban mom, but she's happy here.

  1. Congratulations to Andrew and Kate on buying their first home! Looks like they have a lot of space for their girls to grow up in and enjoy. :)
