down on the farm

February 2035 - Caroline and Charlie Wilder are 33, Riley is 10, Laura is 6, Michael is 2, Andrew is twelve months.

Winter is a quiet time on the farm. The last of the crops were harvested months ago, and the apple trees are dormant. The only farm chore is taking care of the compost bin so they'll have plenty of fertilizer in the spring.

They had a great harvest last year, and they still have plenty of fruits and vegetables from the garden.

Riley is ten years old, and Laura is six. Living out in the country has made them very close.

The farm is pretty isolated from Providence, but the girls get to see their friends at school.

They also have two little boys, Michael and Andrew. Michael is two, and Andrew is one.

The dog loves having lots of children to play with.

Laura is a serious little girl who loves playing with blocks. Michael is an active, outgoing boy.

Riley is an active, athletic little girl. She and her father often work out together.

Charlie recently retired from the soccer team. Now he spends all of his time at home with his family. He's been learning more about farming and repairing things around the house.

It's very peaceful on the farm during the winter. It's nice to have a break from tending the crops. Caroline and Charlie mostly just relax and spend time with their kids.

  1. It's nice that your farmers have a quiet time in the winter... I'm not that nice to my sims... my farming family has a whole lot of glasshouses so I don't let them have a rest!

Toddlers and dogs are so cute together, too!

  2. I've thought about putting in some greenhouses, but when both Caroline and Charlie were working, I didn't think they'd have enough time to take care of the crops. Plus they didn't really need the extra produce. But now that Charlie has retired, I may put up some greenhouses. I'm also planning on having them sell their produce, either at a roadside stand or by selling their produce to the market.
