Lowell College: Fall 2040

Fall 2040 - Junior: Phoebe Centowski; Freshmen: Nate Centowski, Theo Centowski, Matt Ottomas, Opal Raymond.

Matt Ottomas, Nate and Theo Centowski, and Opal Raymond are all freshman this year, and they're living in the same dorm as Phoebe.

Phoebe likes having new students around. She thinks Matt is pretty hot!

Her brothers don't approve, but Phoebe knows not to take Matt too seriously. He has a different girlfriend every weekend.

That doesn't mean they can't have some fun together though.

Not all girls are as receptive to Matt's advances.

Matt has more than enough girl drama as it is. He's still in a relationship with his high school girlfriend, Meg Stanton, who's a senior this year at Providence High School. And he has a big crush on Opal Raymond, the red-haired Canadian student.

He's always hitting on her in the hall, and she seems pretty interested.

Theo also thinks Opal is pretty awesome.

They both love the outdoors, and they spend a lot of time outside together.

She even shows him a local greeting from her hometown, Three Lakes.

Opal and Phoebe get to be good friends too.

Even though they both had flings with Matt, it doesn't come between them. If anything, it makes it easier to handle the rejection.

"Here he comes," Phoebe says. "Walk of shame."

Before Theo started college, he and his high school girlfriend Georgia London promised to stay together. But it turns out to be harder than they had thought. They're both so busy with school, and she lives far from campus in Forest Hills. They hardly ever see each other. One afternoon when she comes to visit, he breaks up with her.

He feels bad about it, but he knows it's the right thing to do.

And now he doesn't have to feel guilty about his feelings for Opal.

With his twin brother and older sister so wrapped up in their dramas, Nate ends up hanging out a lot with a freshman girl in their dorm named Tosha.

At first they just talk about class and study together, but eventually they're hanging out all the time.

Finally, after their finals, he gets up the courage to kiss her for the first time.
