leaving on a jet plane

October 2040 - Chris Byall and David Ottomas are 43.

After more than eleven years, business at The Pier is doing great.

At first it was hard to attract customers, but now people drive miles to eat Autumn's award-winning seafood dishes and enjoy the beautiful ocean views.

Chris hired a larger wait staff, and things pretty much run themselves now. After years of agonizing over every detail - the food, the furniture, the decorations - it's nice to be able to relax.

Chris always thinks that summer ends too soon, but this year she's especially reluctant to let it go. Even in October she tries to go swimming in the ocean.

"I told you it's too cold," David says.

Chris tries sunbathing, but it's chilly in her bathing suit.

After all of these years, Chris is getting tired of living in Providence. "What if we moved to Twikkii Island?" Chris says one night at dinner.

"Like permanently?" David asks.

"We could keep the house," she suggests. "But we have enough money to buy a place in Twikkii Island too. I'd love to live someplace where it's warm all the time."

"What about the restaurant?"

"I can sell my share to Autumn. She loves the restaurant a lot more than I do. She can handle being the chef and the owner."

So Chris sells her share of the restaurant to Autumn...

...and gives Autumn and Tucker their dog Moody.

They say goodbye to David's family...

...and invite Autumn and Tucker over for a goodbye party.

And then they're off to Twikkii Island!

Even in October, the island is a beautiful, sunny 80 degrees.

"It's paradise," Chris says.

It's my first ROS! When Chris rolled the move away ROS, it seemed fitting; she and David are very rich, and I hardly ever play their household because they're very boring. So now they're off to Twikkii Island, but since David's family still lives in Providence, you'll probably see them from time to time.

  1. Aw, looks cute. I like how you tied up their story lines. And I love Autumn's hair.
