Lowell College: Spring 2041

Spring 2041 - Junior: Phoebe Centowski; Freshmen: Nate Centowski, Theo Centowski, Matt Ottomas, Opal Raymond.

Things might have been awkward between Theo and Matt after Opal decided to stop seeing Matt to be with Theo, but Matt isn't the kind of guy to take relationships that seriously. He still likes hanging out with Theo and Opal.

He's glad his friend is so happy. Theo is completely smitten by Opal.

Plus there are always new girls to hit on. Although they aren't always very receptive.

Love is definitely in the air. Things are pretty hot between Nate and Tosha.

Matt and Phoebe's relationship is really fun and flirtatious.

Unfortunately Matt has a girlfriend from high school, Meg Stanton. And one afternoon when she drops by his dorm to say hi, she catches him flirting with Phoebe.

Phoebe tries to apologize, but Meg is furious.

"Get away from him!" she says. "He's my boyfriend, so back off."

"Leave her alone," Matt says. "I'm sick of the jealousy and the demands. I'm done with this."

"Matt honey, please," she begs. "I love you."

"I think you should go."

Meg is crushed, but Matt doesn't care. He's happy to be a free man.

"I feel so horrible about it," Phoebe tells Opal. "She was crying outside of the dorm for half an hour."

"It's not your fault, it's Matt's. With the way he's always hitting on every girl on campus, it was just a matter of time before Meg found out."

Still, Phoebe has a hard time shaking the guilt. She avoids romance for the rest of the semester. Exercise helps clear her mind and makes her feel more serene.

Matt doesn't waste any time getting back into the dating game. People can't resist Matt's charms, even this guy.

"Uh sorry man, I'm not like that," Matt says.

This girl is more Matt's type.

"I saw it and thought of you," he says.

"Oh Matt, it's beautiful!"
