August 2039 - Anthony Cooke and Paul Ottomas are 22, Anjali Ramaswami is 21 (Phil Jitkamusal is 30).

After college, Paul and Anthony rent an apartment together in Providence.

Paul works as an draftsman in Robert Stanton's architecture firm, and Anthony is a scientist at the national lab.

Anthony loves working as a scientist. He becomes good friends with one of his colleagues, Phil Jitkamusal.

"We're so excited to have you at the lab," Phil tells him. "We're working on a lot of projects that I think you'll find interesting."

Life after college has a lot of challenges. Anthony has just started learning to cook.

He doesn't have his father's talent, but his spaghetti comes out pretty well.

Most of their furniture is cheap, durable stuff from IKEA, but they splurged on a big TV. Anthony has been trying to convince Paul that they should also buy a video game system.

Anjali comes over pretty often to see Anthony. "I like your balcony," she says. "You can see the stars."

"Kind of, yeah. It's not really big enough for a telescope though."

"You have a big telescope at work," Anjali says. "We should go stargazing out there."

With Anjali coming over most nights, Paul ends up spending a lot of time watching TV alone. Brittany lives in the city now, and he hasn't had any romantic prospects in a few months.

  1. Haha. Paul looks so grumpy on the sofa in that last picture. He must be sad that Anthony still has a girlfriend and he doesn't.
