Lowell College: Fall 2039

Fall 2039 - Seniors: Clara Long, Anjali Ramaswami, Padma Ramaswami; Sophomore: Phoebe Centowski.

Anjali, Padma, and Clara are all very excited about starting their senior year.

"So you've decided to go into medicine?" Clara asks.

"Yeah," Anjali says. "I really want to go into medical research. You're going into medicine too?"

"Yeah. It'll be so great, the two of us working at the hospital together."

Clara is applying for positions at Providence Hospital, but she still isn't sure what kind of medicine she wants to practice. Lately she's has been spending a lot of time studying about relationships and counseling. Seeing how her mother has struggled with Neil's death has made Clara more interested in psychiatry. Before she wanted to be a general practitioner, but now she thinks she'd like to help people like her mom.

Padma and Phoebe have been spending a lot of time working out in the gym together. Padma wants to pursue a career as an actress after graduation, and she needs to stay in shape.

With her friends graduating in a year, Phoebe has been trying to branch out and make new friends. She's started hanging out at the bowling alley, and she's met a lot of people there.

Anjali and Clara decide it's time for new clothes, so they go shopping one afternoon at the student center.

Anjali ends up just buying some new jeans to wear with her shirt and sweater vest. Clara gets some new pants and a new blue sweater.

"You look great," Anjali says.

"Thanks," Clara says. "So do you."

But Padma is the one with the biggest change. At the end of the semester she finds out that she's pregnant.

I wasn't planning for Padma to get pregnant, but she woohooed with Gavin and got pregnant. She's due in July, so I think she's going to keep living in the dorm until graduation.

And poor Phoebe, she still hasn't had her first kiss. She doesn't have any romantic prospects either; her highest attraction is with Christopher Seiff, but he's in a relationship with Brittany Parker, so I don't know if it will go anywhere. But hopefully soon she'll find a guy.
