November 2022 - Chris Byall and David Ottomas are 25.
Chris and David are adults now, but they aren't exactly typical adults. His parents don't approve of his dream of being a rock star, but after college he started working odd jobs in the music industry and practicing his guitar every day. He's working as a roadie now, but he's hoping to audition for a spot as a studio musician.
Chris has a more traditional job. She recently was promoted to Senior Manager at a small company in the neighboring city. But she's always wanted to own her own business, and a few years ago she bought an old warehouse and turned it into a nightclub, The Warehouse.
She works at the office from 8 to 3, then comes home and crashes until it's time to open the nightclub. It's exhausting, but they need her income for now while The Warehouse is still struggling.
They head over to the club after dinner every night.
David works as the DJ...
...and Chris tends the bar.
There isn't much in the way of nightlife in Providence, and Chris and David are still figuring out how to bring in a full crowd. It's a lot of work, but it's a fun kind of work, a lot more fun than office work or being a roadie. And it's also fun to try to bring a little adult excitement to this sleepy little college town.
