family affair

February 2038 - Anne and James Smith are 37, George is 13, John and Tom are 9, Jamie is 6, Alex is 4 (Justin Kim and Meg Stanton are 14, Riley Wilder is 13).

Alex loves playing with his big brothers and sister, and with four older siblings, there's always someone to play with.

Despite their busy schedules, James and Anne are very hands-on parents.

Anne loves reading stories to her kids. She wants her kids to love books as much as she does.

Even when everyone is busy, Alex always has the dog to play with.

Jamie is realizing that first grade is a lot harder than kindergarten. Her mom is always willing to help with her homework.

Jamie and Alex play together a lot. They're only two years apart.

Even though they're opposites in a lot of ways, John and Tom are best friends. John is very serious while Tom is more playful.

Despite the large age difference, the Smith kids are very close. They all enjoy a good snowball fight!

Now that George is a teenager, he's been spending more time with his friends instead of playing with his brothers and sister all the time. He's been friends with Riley Wilder since they were toddlers. In the last year he's started hanging out with Meg Stanton, who lives across the street, and the new kid Justin Kim.

He likes having a friend who's a guy, especially when the girls are being silly.

Of course sometimes it's fun to join in the silliness. Everyone loves to smustle!
