May 2037 - Jenny Johnson is 35, Meg Stanton is 13.
Jenny's Closet is doing really well. She has a good eye for fashion, and she keeps the store stocked with the latest styles and trends.
Some of the people in Providence need a lot of fashion help. "Maybe something less busy," she suggests.
Meg works at the store after school and on the weekends. She helps out with the restocking, and she works the cash register when things get busy.
Sometimes she runs into kids she knows while she's working. It's a little embarrassing, having her classmates see her working retail.
"Hey Meg," Christian says. "I didn't know you work here."
"Uh yeah," she says. "It's my mom's store."
Jenny expanded the store to include a salon on the second floor, but she's having trouble attracting customers.
"No thanks," Cynthia Kim says. "I have a hairdresser in the city."
But Christian comes in asking for a new look. He's tired of the floppy bangs; he wants something sleeker.
He's pretty happy with the results!
Some people need a lot of help. Jenny convinces Komei to get rid of the long hippie hair he's had since college.
He looks a lot better with shorter hair.
Other people just need a little change. Caroline wants something shorter for the summer.
Her new haircut is perfect for long summer days in the garden. The salon might have had a slow start, but she's starting to build a good reputation.

Lol @ "...something less busy"! Yeah, some of those townies really do need fashion help :)
ReplyDeleteThat was actually the main reason I had Jenny open a clothing store and boutique - I really wanted to be able to makeover some of the townies!
