January 2044 - Benjamin Grove is 25, Phoebe Centowski is 23.
In August when the lease on Phoebe's apartment was up, she and Benjamin moved in together into his apartment. They've been dating for over a year now, and their ready for their relationship to take the next step.
It's nice having a man in the house. In the morning when Phoebe gets back from taking Maggie out, Ben has breakfast ready. Ben gets home before Phoebe, and he takes Maggie on a long walk before dinner. Their lives fit together so seamlessly, it's hard to remember what their lives were like before.
A few weeks into January, they invite her family over. It's hard getting everyone in the same place, but Phoebe and Benjamin insist.
"Your dad was sorry he couldn't be here, but he had to work at the store," Steffi says. "You said you and Benjamin had something to tell us?"
"Thanks for coming over," Benjamin says. "We wanted to tell you all in person, we're engaged."
"Theo and I were wondering when you two would make it official," Opal says.
"Congratulations," Steffi says. "I can't wait to tell Orlando. He's going to be thrilled."

I thought they might be expecting, the engagement is super sweet though and I'm glad they were able to tell almost everyone in person.
