Tommy and Sheila graduated from Lowell College last summer, and now they're living together in an apartment in Providence. Sheila is a robotics engineer at iRobot, and Tommy teaches at Providence School.
Their apartment is on the opposite corner from the school, and Tommy walks to school every day.
He's a very devoted teacher. Most weekends he goes into his classroom to prepare for next week's lessons.
He's become friends with the other teachers, especially Caroline Wilder. Caroline teaches the oldest group, grades 7-12. Tommy is teaching grades 4-6, but he'd really like to teach older kids. There's been talk of building a high school for grades 7-12, and he's hoping to get a job there once it's built.
Tommy and Sheila adopted the Goodes' cats Sweets and Cymmi after they died.
They also have a hamster named Rosie.
The apartment doesn't really have enough room for two cats, but Tommy didn't want Sweets and Cymmi to be separated. Sweets and Cymmi are happy to have a new home and to be together.
Although there are downsides to apartment life, like loud neighbors.
Sheila hates having to get up in the middle of the night to pound on the wall. She and Tommy are saving money for a house, but it's going to have to wait a few years.
I recently moved a bunch of buildings around, so the views around Providence have changed somewhat. I really like the new arrangement; I think the town looks more complete. But some of the earlier pictures might not be consistent with the current building arrangement.
