who needs sleep?

August 2038 - Phil Jitkamusal is 29, Tara Jitkamusal is 27, Anna and Kat are four months.

In April, Phil and Tara became the parents of twin girls, Anna and Kat.

Life with twins is exhausting. Somehow they both always need to be fed and changed at the same time.

In addition to twin babies, they also have three cats and three kittens.

The cats take care of each other and keep each other company. They all get along pretty well.

Phil is a scientist at a nearby national lab, and Tara works as a baker at Bertoni's Market. Tara's schedule is pretty flexible, and between the two of them they can take care of the twins without needing a baby-sitter.

But it's exhausting. Just keeping the house clean is a huge challenge.

Cats are pretty clean pets, but when you have six of them, sometimes there are accidents. And the litter box has to be cleaned every day.

Phil and Tara live out in the country, and Phil tries to take a few minutes every night to stargaze with his telescope. It's not as powerful as the ones he has access to at work, but there's something romantic about looking at the stars through the little eyepiece.

It can be a struggle for Phil and Tara to spend time together. When the twins are asleep, the two of them enjoy some of Tara's amazing berry pie together.

And of course every night they curl up in bed together, at least until one of the twins starts crying!
